FAQs

What is the investment?

  • $200 per individual session

  • $250 per couples/family session

  • I accept Venmo, all major credit cards, HSA/FSA through IVY Pay

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance and am considered an out of network provider. If you have an insurance plan that includes coverage for out-of-network providers, I am happy to provide you with monthly invoices (superbills) that you can submit for reimbursement (typically this covers a good percentage of my fee after any deductible is met).

Check with your insurance provider to verify coverage. You may be asked for the CPT code and the full rate of the provider to verify reimbursement rate. The CPT code for Individual Therapy Sessions that are 53+ minutes  is 90837 and 90847 for Couples or Family Sessions.

Do you offer a sliding scale (reduced fee)?

I do have limited sliding scale spots based on economic need. Please contact me for more information.

How long are sessions and how often should I come?

I offer 60 minute individual, couples, and family sessions to individuals ages 14 and up. Sessions will begin on a weekly basis however,  biweekly sessions may be considered depending on your goals and the progress made toward them. Sessions are offered statewide and online on a secure video platform.

How long will I be in therapy?

The length of therapy varies and is dependent on your unique situation and goals.

Is everything kept confidential?

Yes, I am legally obligated to keep all of your information confidential with the exception of the following:

  • You report or I believe that there is an imminent risk to yourself or another person

  • You disclose to me that a minor or a vulnerable adult is being abused

  •  If I receive a valid subpoena or court order, I would need to respond but contact you

What is your cancellation and no show policy?

As much advance notice as possible is always appreciated. I ask that you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations and re-scheduled sessions will be subject to a full charge if not received at least 24 hours in advance. The first late cancellation/no show fee will be waived.  This policy does not apply to medical emergencies or sudden illnesses.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE NOTICE

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.  Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
